Baby Jesus Doll

How to Act Out the Nativity With Costumes

baby jesus dollLights, camera, action! One of the most beloved Christmas traditions act out the story of birth. This is an opportunity for families to pull together, have fun dress up, and remember the real spirit of Christmas. Here are some ideas to help your family have a successful reenactment of the birth story.

First, you need to decide on the script. The Bible verse in Luke is standard for most of the script, and if this is what you decide to use, make sure to get familiar with the story and get the kids who participate are familiar with the language used as well. When young children are involved, probably a good idea to simplify the script and bring it closer to understanding them. Toddlers do not even want the script, which may only want to wear unique costumes and pretend play! However you decide to act out, decide early what kind of script, if any, you want to use.

Next, you need to make a costume. Birth story provides many opportunities for unique costumes, many of which can be done from home. Sheets and bath can be used for the robes of Mary and Joseph, and Shepherd. Sweaty white with black nose to the sheep, and angels just need a halo of gold tinsel and a sash to match. This unique costume is not only providing a dress-up fun, but they provide an opportunity for a child's imagination to explore while they play pretend. So let the kids help come up with costumes! Broom handles can be used to shepherd staff and baby dolls for baby Jesus. Your children may have a toy that will work well in play, such as stuffed animals to the manger. Ask them, and improvised-large, unique costumes can be found at a cost much!

After the set and costumes commissioned and the script decides, taking sprinting through. Although probably not practical to run through the entire skit before the show, since the two-year-old sheep can become loose interest lamb relatively quickly, at least make a verbal run through to make sure people knew where they were supposed to be when. With the younger tots, you might just want to dress them and let them play.

And, action! Make sure the stage '"(or broken object blank area) is set, and let the play begin! Children love to act and pretend to play the audience, so make sure that there are some to watch the story of the birth. Because most people will either participate in acting or helping young children to find a place, make sure there is someone to be appointed is a camera that get the whole thing on the footage. Some images will not hurt either!

After everyone had cleaned up, sit down and watch with popcorn. This will help bring a sense of close ties with everyone, and will help children see that they have done! Story portrays the birth of not only time to dress nice, it is time to unite as a family and feel the love and bond with the people around us. It is important to document and review these memories so that they are preserved and fresh. Good luck, and Merry Christmas!
